The Chamber of Economy of Montenegro is an independent, business, professional and interest organization that is independent in its work.
The main goal of the Chamber of Economy is to represent and realize the common interests of the members of the Chamber of Economy, that is, the entire Montenegrin economy. The Chamber of Economy encourages economic activities based on a free and open market, freedom of entrepreneurship and competition, the independence of economic entities and their responsibility for assumed obligations in legal transactions. The Chamber of Economy encourages balanced economic development.
The Chamber of Economy is an institutional partner of the Government of Montenegro, it cooperates with the Parliament of Montenegro, state administration and local self-government bodies. The Chamber of Economy cooperates with other organizations and institutions in building the economic system, proposing development and ongoing economic policy and solving other issues of importance for the economy.
Members of the Chamber of Economy are all companies, banks and other financial organizations, insurance organizations and entrepreneurs registered in the CRPS. Companies, banks and other financial organizations, insurance organizations and entrepreneurs who perform business activities on the territory of Montenegro become members of the Chamber of Economy on the day of enrollment in the CRPS, automatically. By decision of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Economy, non-governmental organizations, associations and other organizations that perform tasks of importance for the economy may become members of the Chamber of Economy, upon their request.
The Chamber of Economy performs the following tasks:
formulates, harmonizes, represents and protects the common interests of its members before the competent state bodies and institutions in regulating the economic system and defining economic policy measures, as well as before the bodies and bodies of the European Union;
analyzes business conditions and opportunities and initiates initiatives for the adoption of laws and other regulations in the field of economy in order to improve the business environment;
gives an opinion on regulations of importance for the economy; - implements activities to improve the competitiveness of the economy as a whole;
contributes to the improvement of entrepreneurship development;
provides support to the economy in fulfilling the obligations arising from the partnership with the European Union and participates in the harmonization of legislation with the regulations of the European Union;
implements European Union projects important for economic development;
informs and provides support to the economy in communication with the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO);
promotes economic potentials and attracts foreign investments by organizing business forums and performances at fairs, publishing promotional publications and catalogs, presenting the economy through the Internet and other promotional activities;
establishes and improves economic cooperation between the economy and abroad;
provides support to members in pursuing their interests abroad;
encourages research, innovation and development of an economy based on knowledge, innovation and modern scientific and technological achievements;
provides support for the development of the technological infrastructure of the economy and the information society;
supports the development of ecological awareness in the economy and the harmonization of economic and social interests in order to realize the right to a healthy environment;
participates in the development of the education system for the needs of the economy and the development of practical knowledge standards and prepares business education programs in accordance with the needs of the economy;
organizes formal and informal forms of business education, improvement and training of personnel in the economy through specialized courses, lectures, seminars, workshops and other forms of education;
determines the rules of good business behavior of its members and passes regulations;
encourages socially responsible business;
supports the economic-social dialogue;
realizes projects for the needs of the economy;
encourages the development of female entrepreneurship;
provides assistance to members in resolving mutual disputes;
issues certificates, certificates and other public documents and
performs other tasks in accordance with the law and the Statute.
The Chamber of Economy cooperates with other chambers of commerce, international chamber associations and international organizations whose areas of activity are related to the achievement of the Chamber of Commerce's goals. The Chamber of Economy represents the interests of the economy in international associations and organizations.
